About

Who We Are
Know Your Worth (KYW) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2019 in Douglas, Georgia. We exist to bring hope, healing, and mental health awareness to Douglas-Coffee County and surrounding communities.
What began as a local response to tragic losses among teens has grown into a community-wide movement that equips schools, churches, and families to have life-changing conversations about mental health, self-worth, and resilience.
Our Mission
We believe every child was created in God’s image, with value, meaning, and purpose. Our mission is to ensure that students of all ages know their lives matter, regardless of their background or circumstances.
At Know Your Worth, we believe that when a child knows their life has value, their future changes.
What We Do
KYW seeks to accomplish this mission through a combination of education, community engagement, and youth empowerment. We host keynote speakers, student rallies, and retreats, while also providing schools with tools, curricula, and resources that teachers and staff can use to support students who may be struggling. We actively partner with families, churches, and local organizations to create safe spaces for dialogue about self-worth and mental health, and we organize outreach events designed to break stigma and bring hope. In addition, we empower young people through campaigns like the Know Your Worth T-shirt movement—which has become a visible reminder of self-worth across schools and sporting events—and through interactive programs such as Teen Maze, which help students understand the impact of their choices and the importance of valuing their lives.
Why It Matters
Through local assessments, KYW identified rising concerns in Coffee County including youth suicide and depression, substance abuse through opioids, vaping, and alcohol, and a lack of parental involvement in mental health conversations. By equipping educators, parents, and faith leaders with practical resources, KYW helps bridge the gap between students in crisis and the community prepared to support them.
Our Impact
The results of this work have been both visible and deeply felt. More than 2,000 Know Your Worth shirts were distributed in the first year alone, spreading awareness and funding initiatives across the community. KYW continues to strengthen partnerships with Coffee County Schools, Unison Behavioral Health, and Family Connection to expand mental health resources directly onto campuses. Consistent outreach through events, speaking engagements, and community campaigns has provided countless opportunities for students and families to encounter encouragement and hope. Perhaps most importantly, testimonies continue to emerge from teachers, families, and students who have found the courage to speak up, seek help, and believe in their worth once again.
